Operators have at least one more way to add variety to their promotions thanks to Pragmatic Play’s introduction of Collect & Win. This brand-new collection mechanism has just been included within the company’s existing Enhance suite. Collect & Win was made available to all of Pragmatic Play's operators on August 24th, 2026. As a result of this update, operators will now be able to use Text Drops (words, letters or numbers), Card Drops (players receive virtual playing cards) and a Pick A Chest (reward selection) mechanism with the company’s slot and live casino products. Please refer to Pragmatic Play’s Collect & Win launch for additional information about the initial launch.
Collect & Win is significant because it stands above each of the many online casino games offered by Pragmatic Play — rather than changing the underlying math of those games. While continuing to play the Pragmatic Play titles that they wish to play, players can collect promotional pieces that can be used toward earning rewards independent from the games being played. Two new formats were added to enhance the Wheel Drops format, which currently exists.
Text Drops give players words, letters or numbers that must be collected together to create a single complete set. Card Drops allow players to receive virtual playing cards to help them create hands. With the inclusion of Text Drops and Card Drops, operators may choose the theme, number of collectible items required and delivery type of rewards. This flexibility makes Collect & Win as much of a marketing tool for operators as it is a function provided to the end-user.
Once a collection requirement has been met, players then enter the second stage of Collect & Win using Pick A Chest. Upon completing the collection requirements (i.e., collecting all the cards, text elements or Wheel pieces), players are given the opportunity to pick one out of nine chests to reveal their reward. According to Pragmatic Play, Collect & Win is capable of providing a wide variety of rewards including fixed cash, Free Spins, free chips and bet multipliers.
Additionally, players can observe their collection progression through the interface. Compared to a standard random Prize Drop, this approach extends the length of time that a player must interact with an operator’s platform to achieve a promotional reward. An operator may find that a longer promotional cycle such as that created by Collect & Win can be very beneficial for retention-oriented campaigns that encourage repeat business from customers.
The larger narrative behind Collect & Win relates to the increasing importance of gamification and retention tools as part of what online casino content developers supply to operators. Historically, these types of companies primarily competed based upon their games. Games remain a primary competitive area today; however, many top-tier content providers are becoming involved in creating gamification/retention tools for operators that span entire portfolios of content.
Pragmatic Play began introducing Enhance in 2019 as a suite of promotional tools that include features like tournaments, random prize drops and various forms of Free Rounds. Today, Enhance contains seven total features including Collect & Win, Prize Drops, Tournaments, Free Spins, Cashback, Prize Multiplier and Pragmatic Replay. Therefore, Collect & Win continues a strategy that has been evolving over several years.
While Pragmatic Play does not yet have a great deal of experience with collection-based promotions since Droips & Wins launched in 2025 as a large-scale promotion, its current iteration (launched during 2026) offers over €25 million in prizes across more than five million entries. Drops & Wins combines daily tournaments with weekly Wheel Drops. In the Wheel Drops section of Droips & Wins, players collect three randomly assigned wheel pieces prior to gaining entry into a prize wheel. Essentially, Collect & Win allows operators to customize this basic collection principle according to their own needs rather than relying exclusively on a provider-funded promotion.
In terms of New Zealand’s gaming industry specifically, the most compelling aspect of Collect & Win is not merely the inclusion of cards and words — it is operator customization. Online casinos frequently carry many of the same Pragmatic Play slots. When competing platforms offer overlapping game catalogs, having the capability to design unique promotional experiences for customers can provide an additional means for differentiation.
Furthermore, Collect & Win is capable of supporting both slots and Live Casino offerings, thus enabling an operator to design promotions centered around a significantly larger portion of its Pragmatic Play library rather than around a single title. The scope of Collect & Win matters. In contrast to a feature that is always tied to one particular slot, a promotional mechanic that follows players across multiple games potentially supports broader campaigns than a feature that is always limited to one title.
Collect & Win ultimately illustrates how the nature of competition within iGaming is expanding past game development itself. Pragmatic Play is no longer merely supplying casino content — they are providing operators with even more methods for packaging, promoting and differentiating that content. Since major casinos in New Zealand often employ identical game libraries, configurable gamification may become an increasingly essential component of the supplier/operator relationship moving forward.
